My mother and I had a similar relationship. She critisized everything and even contradicted herself, just so she could keep arguing with me. It was exhausting!
What I wouldn’t give for the chance to be critisized by her just one more time….It is funny the things that made me crazy are somewhat softened, and not as bad now that she is gone.
Ouch. River froze over yesterday and today the splash from the waves hitting the beach is freezing. Suspect the lake will freeze over soon if this cold weather lasts much longer. A month earlier than last year but then this is the normal time for us to get cold temperatures.Hope everyone has a great day today – at least a warmer day then we are getting.
I’d like to buy an eyeroll, Vanna. Everyone else here has a good point. No matter if your relationship with your mom is positive or negative or somewhere in between, they are still our moms and we love them even with all of their faults. I tell my kids a lot that I make mistakes all the time, but that I try my best, and they reassure me that I’m doing just fine and they love me. That’s all I can ask for.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! It was a day of pampering for us, which we needed. I got a pedicure and all of us girls got haircuts. We’re looking good and ready for a holiday. I hope everyone had a great day!
Luckily, my Mom would never have criticized my cleaning…except that maybe I was a little OCD about it. She did however, have problems with some foods I cooked. She didn’t like the mushrooms in the stuffing, so she picked them out. She thought she hated asparagus until she tasted it, then she loved it. I, too, miss my Mom!!
