Looking back on it, my mom was pretty lenient on me and my bedroom. But if it got really messy, she would TELL me I had to clean it. (Asking wasn’t in her vocabulary) She made it clear that having my own bedroom was a privilege, and if I didn’t respect that privilege, I’d find myself with a bratty roommate who could very easily go through my things. Or, she would, when I was at school.
I can’t imagine as a child, acting like her kids do. I’m only 33, but my parents raised me to be respectful. Maybe it’s just a pet peeve of mine, but this strip really irritates me sometimes. Haha!
My mom threw our stuff out the front bedroom windows into the front yard so as our bus passed in the afternoon we’d be embarrassed as all get out. Worked for a time.
By Holly’s definition, it’s clean according her standards. And her Mom just dumped the clothes and made a big mess…-To you people who ‘DUMP’ on Holly just because you’re bigger, older but not necessarily wiser. No disrespect and I do apologize, but in the words of Dr. John Becker… “So Scr*w You!”…

Guess Holly’s “paper” on “Boy Bands” was a success? Hope Joan is sitting down when Holly presents her report card.

My daughter’s allowance id dependent upon how well she completes her chores. An orderly room is just one of her daily chores.
