Joe is “first officer”, not Boehner. Also all the flap about Obama going to Hawaii? Texas was less "W"’s real home than Hawaii is Obama’s. Cutting that brush cost the country a bundle.

    Your right

    Grow the economy

    grow the economy

grow the economy is far better, kind of like

    are we there yet

    are we there yet

    are we there yet

The truth is that difficulties right now come in part from 30 trillion in offshore accounts that effectively stagnates capital investment, due to perceived risks in market

Overly extended budgets from most citizens whom put their spending level at roughly same level as what they earn, as a result the second income taxes go up there will be issues.

There is no way (without resorting to stupid extremes) to force capital to be invested, nor is there any reasonable way to try and get people off of spending at same level of earnings.

Private sector should balance things out, just as regular economic cycles do.

    that said remember

    grow the economygrow the economy

I blame obamaI blame obamaI blame obama.

If you want to help the economy write a proposal to your boss about how your company can use capital and make huge profits by leveraging cheap buildings. Abundent labor and so forth.

or if in management look to see what you could do with available capital

or if you are an unemployed citizen work to start a drive to get uninvested capital back into the economy

BUSH BUSH BUSH don’t you every tire of it??Obama is criticized by “conservatives” for the amount of vacation time he has taken. By comparison, the previous president took more vacation time and was not criticized by said “conservatives.” It’s not about Bush. It’s about “conservatives” once again criticizing Obama for when they took no issue with the previous Republican President. It’s little more than a continuation of the partisan BS where a Republican can do no wrong, and a Democrat can do no right.

LOL, you need to go back and do a little reading and review on your first point, it’s a lie. The amount and variance of sources is overwhelming that would disprove your point, even you could find them. Instead you choose to, once again, remain within that little bubble you have created for yourself. As to your second point, you provide no source for your accusation of “no-bid blah blah blah.” The same accusation could be made of your much vaunted Obama, but then you would want those making the accusation to cite sources and such, play hypocrite much?

Zit: I base my decisions on facts, researched, and from various standpoints so that I check “both sides of the argument” before taking a position. I’m a gun owner who sees the need for better regulation of firearms. I’ve been in combat and killed “communists”, as well as seen the tragedy of “collateral damage”, and thus hate war, am “anti-war”, but certainly NOT a pacifist when in comes to actually defending the nation, and my fellow Man, from whatever the threat. I’ve enforced our laws, and protected people, and rescued them when they were in trouble. I don’t object to paying taxes to provide for the “general welfare” as well as “common defense” of my fellow citizens, and bear no particular ill will toward those seeking to become citizens, but certainly want them to do it legally, and recognize our laws regarding such also need revamping.

I think, therefore, I am, yes, a “liberal” in the dictionary definition sense, so yes, thank you for the compliment, Zit.

A happy and generous, if not always “prosperous” new year, unless you earn it, and share the blessings of this nation, be it finance, or freedom.

Henry, you do love your bosses — the millionaires and billionaires who pay the GOP to tax the middle class and starve to poor.

This one is so easily disproved it’s laughable. Preston Hollow has been around since the 1930’s, was incorporated as a municipality in 1939, was annexed into the city of Dallas in around 1945 and is subject to the same taxes as any other neighborhood in Dallas.Kinda spanks up your meme about it being a suburb created so affluent people wouldn’t have to pay taxes, lol.I mean, really, do you have a reliable source for that information? Wanna bet you don’t and have been listening to the echo chamber again?

You can’t dismiss the “Dixiecrats” out of hand just because they do not fit into your definition of what a democrat should be. They were a strong voting presence in the party until late in the 60’s. Some changed stripes to make themselves more palatable, but they were still part of the Democratic party.Your desire to ignore the facts and history does not change it, they opposed the Civil Rights Act.

What an absurdly delusional cartoon. Boehner as ‘first officer?’ Really?? First off, for Obama the First Officer would be Biden. Second is that Bohner can’t even get his junior Congressmen to do as he ‘orders.’

Just a note: the “Dixicrats” of the 1960’s are today called “Republicans”, or in some cases “blue dog Democrats”. Which for Tigger’s benefit, the number of those “blue dogs”, who run as Democrats, but vote with Republicans, are part of the reason Obama really has NOT had the “majority” constantly claimed, and the hundreds of Republican filibusters under revised Senate rules, have blocked a lot of legislation, including THEIR OWN!

I gonna like this one My first post to you was regarding this statement you made, “nobody dared to deny him his whims or speak negatively about him . . .” You’re just so full of hate that you are blind to the obvious falsehood of your statement. There was continuouse criticism from many sources, main stream media outlet editorials, left wing blogs, left wing web sites and left wing celebrities that resorted to calling him names and showing absolutely no respect for the office of the President. These are, of course, the same web sites and bblogs that insist the oppoosition are racist for engagin in the same tactics, the hypocrisy is stunning. Your example of the Dixie Chicks is just poor, even you admit their music sucks, their loss in popularity had nothing to do with their criticism of Bush and more to do with their crappy music, classic one hit wonders. Every one of your links is broken, not sure if you meant to just give generic links to web sites or not, but let me help a little here. By the way, FactCheck.org is about the most balanced source out there, if you think they lean right you have a problem. " . . .widely know as common knowledge that baby bush did not have funding for the two wars he wanted to play." Really? Here is the record: Appropriations FY2003 Supplemental: Operation Iraqi Freedom: Passed April 2003; Total $78.5 billion, $54.4 billion Iraq War FY2004 Supplemental: Iraq and Afghanistan Ongoing Operations/Reconstruction: Passed November 2003; Total $87.5 billion, $70.6 billion Iraq War FY2004 DoD Budget Amendment: $25 billion Emergency Reserve Fund (Iraq Freedom Fund): Passed July 2004, Total $25 billion, $21.5 billion (estimated) Iraq War FY2005 Emergency Supplemental: Operations in the War on Terror; Activities in Afghanistan; Tsunami Relief: Passed April 2005, Total $82 billion, $58 billion (estimated) Iraq War FY2006 Department of Defense appropriations: Total $50 billion, $40 billion (estimated) Iraq War. FY2006 Emergency Supplemental: Operations Global War on Terror; Activities in Iraq & Afghanistan: Passed February 2006, Total $72.4 billion, $60 billion (estimated) Iraq WarOh and Obama has used the same source for his funding of the war in Iraq and Afghan, the link has that info as well. So much for that meme.No-bid contracts are SOP in the government, I don’t support it, but it happens all the timme, in fact here’s a little jewel I stumbled across, “During the 2008 presidential campaign, Barack Obama criticized the Bush administration for awarding contracts without competition, a practice he said cost U.S. taxpayers billions of dollars each year. But once in office, Obama didn’t prohibit sole-source contracts, saying agencies needed the flexibility to tailor contracts to meet their needs.” Source You may also notice the same practice is happening under Obama, so much for that meme.Your statement that things are “common-knowledge” doesn’t absolve you of providing proof for your statements, the earth being flat and the center of the universe was common knowledge for quite some time, seems that was common-knowledge that needed a little adjustment.

D PB: You ARE aware that by their very nature, “supplements” are NOT counted as “budget items”? (especially when looking at additions to the debt)

Also, in the world of Boehner’s inflated ego, HE is the “Captain”, and he sees Obama as a mere cabin boy to do his wishes. Of course, as he is Captain Hook, McConnell is merely Boehner’s “Mr. Smee”.

What I think is so wonderful is this: “W” was such an incredibly pitiful (gulp) President of the United States—-Americans chose to (immediately after the Shrub’s exit) elect a man thought impossible to win not once, but twice!

I do believe most of the Bush disciples on this thread understand that fact, and on several levels of their conscious thought processing, that very knowledge tortures their being!!!

I for one, sure am glad we are looking FORWARD as a nation once again. In a way, I thank “W”—-he was our proverbial “rock bottom”.

Yeah…I think the “quick to flag” gang has little reasoning ability—-their lack of critical thinking proves detrimental to any worthwhile rebuttal, ergo the flag key gets mashed.
