Ah yes, let us all abandon rational thought and compromise. Let’s flame this up as much as possible, insult each other until reconciliation is impossible and perpetuate the division that is already rampant in our country. We all know that finger pointing and name calling is a true path to resolution of conflict…
Through all the discussions is lost the fact there IS a difference between “gun owner”, and “gun nut”. I own guns, use guns, and have used them in combat. There is NO REASON for a “civilian” to have military arms, and the capacity of a “Bushmaster” is greater than my M-16 in ’Nam. Anyone claiming they “need one”, is a nut.
and you know Jesus just loves to see us taking what was written about him by others turned into justification for wars of words and wars of ideology and wars of faith. not.
That NRA guy had a perfectly workable solution to the problem of gun violence in schools. Just put in enough armed guards to handle the situation. I estimate the average school would require about 10 armed guards to cover all of the doors.
Where would we get the money to pay them? No problem, just tax each sale of weapons or ammunition enough to cover their salaries. That wouldn’t just cut down considerably on the sale of guns, it would be a big help in finding work for returning vets.If you’re wondering if I’m serious or this is satire— frankly so am I.
