Our black tom will let the lab mix lick him for long periods of time. However, when the cat is tired of being “bathed”, out comes the claws, and the two go their separate ways.
These are actually hard to write as both our cats see Sophie as their Mom, and Sophie is beyond happy to step into that role. Personally I was hoping for some conflict, just for strip ideas.

when our shepherd was alive she would sleep on the spare bed and the cat would curl up to her belly and they would sleep that way

Reminds me of my husband when our cats dare to rub up against him. He flinches, then yells, “Ugghhh! Cat hair!” Hasn’t changed in 25 years.

I read that when cats rub against something (or someone), they are really just marking it with there scent. Makes sense to me..

Cats rub so they can surprise you all the more when they decide to bite. (At least until you learn to understand Cat and avoid the bites.)

Our tuxedo slept with our lab when the cat was young. Now he stops by to run up against her when he’s roaming……the dog loves it!
