Well, Winston, your secret is out for the whole comic-reading world knows! But that was nice of how to remember your dearly, departed wife.

Does that resting heart rate mean he’s in top physical shape, or that he could die any minute?

Low resting HR is good. They say we have a finite number of heart beats. Lower your resting HR the longer you live.

If Bradley Wiggins is for real, 35 is fantastic. I’m with some of you people at 45 from exercise and a generally good diet. Attitude helps, too, but I don’t like “swagger”.

The question is, did Barack get mad at Michelle for being so candid?

Big Deal… at my peak as a swimmer, my resting pulse rate was 32 beats per minute. I know for a fact that President Bush’s resting rate while in office was the same, 32 beats per minute, due to his mountain biking. The Surgeon General said that GW Bush was our most physically fit president ever.

A resting heart rate of 35 is surprising, but a lot of endurance athletes have that. World class endurance athletes could have a resting rate of 28 to 32 bpm.
