Functioning congress? With no taxes there’d be no money to pay them, so there’d be no congress at all. Or anything else, for that matter. Iran could waltz right in and take us over.

Stop collecting taxes completely??? What exactly do you think will pay for even a modest circa 1805 style government?And what do you think would be the result of an 1805 size government?

I wish we could fire Congress. No perks, no benefits, no retirement package. Just “you’re out”…with nothing!

The lazy bleeps haven’t done a day’s work in years. They pass bills without reading them. They have flunkies to do everything but wipe their butts…and I’m not sure if that’s the line those “yes men” won’t cross. What a waste of taxpayer’s money—- the good for nothing bleeps SHOULD BE UNEMPLOYED!!!

^we should expect a responsibile government under republicans or under democrats? so far as i’m concerned, since deficits didn’t matter under bush and his two wars and special interest corporate giveaways to the bank practically bankrupted us, i certainly am fine with obama spending what is necessary on non-war, non-bank bailouts – like to educate our kids so we can compete with the world, and not give a damn about what the republicans say. the republicans are a self-serving bunch of “i got mine you don’t get yours” liars. plus they are happy to sell the country up the river to steal from our treasury. treasonous worms.
