That depends, I guess, on what you consider “center”. Obama has more than a few issues/topics where he’s pretty left of center…

“There is no candidate who is left of center. Obama is moderate right and mittney is extreme far “right” lunatic fringe…”I’d say Obama is just right of center and Romney is where ever he thinks the group he’s speaking want him to be.

“Far left of center?” Is FDR running? Because Obama ain’t nowhere near the far left or even a firm left. He’s in the center. Just because the GOP has launched off into the right-wing parallel universe doesn’t make Obama “left.”

Not so much. Politifact says Obama kept, started action on, or had a compromise on 74% of his promises. 9% stalled, 17% broken. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/

The Republicans have gone so far to the right (out of sight, even) that the vacuum has pulled everyone else to the center and beyond. So, yes, Obama could reasonably be called ‘center’.

Can you justify this claim that Obama’s policies are Marxist? Or are you just blowing hot air?

And that’s your evidence that Obama is a Marxist? Not very impressive.

Some country’s ballots have a square for “none of the above.”

Obama is far from “far left” of center, the “stimulus” was to SAVE BUSINESSES, and it did, several in my area were but small examples that extend across the country.

Romney’s whole career, and objective, puts America’s well-being on spin cycle, extracting wealth, only to himself and friends. That isn’t “right”, or right, it’s greed, just like the greed that led to the collapse in 2008.

Thing is, what the church did in the 1800s was all about basic survival.[]Once it was actually allowed to even exist (the US government kept trying to literally kill it – and us), good ol’ fashioned capitalism became the norm.

Have you ever read Karl Marx?Or are you just repeating Senator McCarthy’s buzzwords?

Anyone who thinks Obama is a Marxist knows nothing of Obama or of Marx. And, as Rachel Maddow says, if Obama is an anti-business socialist, he’s the Worst Socialist Ever. Business has done much, much better under Obama (as measured by corporate income and the stock market) than under any Republican president in the past sixty years.

I’d suggest Norman F. Furniss’ “The Mormon Conflict: 1850 – 1858”. []Furniss is, to date, the most neutral source I can find on the tensions that took place in the decade, and even goes so far as to discuss the full chain of events that lead to Mountain Meadows; in contrast, most non-Mormon historians I’ve seen have tried to pretend that it took place in a vacuum of some sort.

52% increase in the debt, $4B per day and he’s right? Tell me what issue the Pres’ even begins to lean to the right on.

Breen’s view is reflective of the fallacy ruling our country. Our country has moved so far to the right that Obama is called “left of center”, when in reality he governs like an Eisenhower.
