I love hockey – my favorite of all the televised sports. Baseball is for sleeping and football – it’s okay if you like watching people give each other spinal injuries for a pastime. I could actually do without the fighting in hockey. They are the worst part of it, and it always amazes me that people cheer for the fights. As to missing the games… yes, I miss them. It’s a good thing there’s an AHL (minor league) team nearby.
I’ve never been one to watch a sport for the violence; I simply enjoy the skill. Hockey has had a really bad reputation for excessive violence as long as I’ve been aware of the game to I don’t follow it much.
I’m Canadian, born and raised. I can’t stand hockey. I pretty much love all other major sports though. Unfortunately, living in Toronto, I can’t escape it.

I, personally, could care less about the hockey strike. It could go on until next June and it wouldn’t bother me one bit.

The hockey season wouldn’t need to be so long if they didn’t have all the stupid fights. Play the game!

There is no strike, it’s a lockout. The owners are refusing to allow the players to play.
