    @Jo Clear: I once saw a production in Germany. Nobody believes less in ghosts than I do, but when the townspeople realize they have been calling out to a crew of dead men, the effect was frightening.

    Forsooth! Now it seems I developed a leak. This is why I won’t get another dog , I am too old. But ppl tell me to get an old dog. Forsooth! I don’t want to take that ride to the vet again,nor do I want a bundle of love waiting for me in vain.

    On the reiteration of this comic, I made a comment. Forgive me, but I’ll repeat it now. EVERY time I see this strip, a shiver runs down my spine, as the strident opening bars of Wagner’s “The Flying Dutchman Overture” roar through my mind! For the “ghost dog”…. I wish him happiness…
