Heh. No more baby urges! Now I can hand them back to their mommy and say “Grandma’s tired now!” It’s awesome! I can cuddle them and play with them, and someone else gets to feed them and change their diapers! If only I could have had my grandkids first!

I don’t want anymore either!! My neighbor is 40 and is now pregnant by choice. At first, I thought I would be a little jealous, but I’m actually relieved that I don’t have to go through that again (and I adore my kids)!

Every time my bio clock speaks up with “you want a baby” I offer to watch a friends kids. I pick them up and try and do my errands for the day, making it fun for them too…by the time I drop the kids off and their mom has had a afternoon off, I remember why I’m so thankful I don’t have any!

We go to a timeshare with kids & grandkids every other year. After 3 days, I’m ready to come home. My, they’re energetic, though I love them a lot.

Good that Val doesn’t want any more children because Phil definitely is not a dad material. He would be a good step-dad, though. Wally and Phil are two very different types of men.

@CJBz: In my experience, the dads that don’t want to rush into parenthood are the ones that actually dedicate the most time and energy to the kid(s) they end up with. I think a big reason why they don’t want to rush into parenthood is that they actually intend to dedicate their time to the kid(s) and aren’t so selfish as to think that that works just as well when you have more of them. Too many parents in the world like Joan that have a couple of kids and then play the martyr because they didn’t anticipate the demands.

I feel bad for any child when a mom 40 has a child. Mom gets older and child will stay younger. I’m 56 and done. No grandkids as my adult ones are not married.

Why have your own when other people are so happy to lend theirs out that they’ll PAY YOU to take them??
