It’s actually true: The impeachment phase is about deciding to hold the trial. To convict, assuming the Senators did the job they swore to do does require a crime.

Methinks that when we can no longer have consistent logical and ethical behavior from a public servant, their service should be ended as quickly as possible BEFORE even greater harm is done.

All I can figure is that, in 2016, an alien race scooped out the brains, ethics, and morals of Trump supporters and replaced them with mush. What else would account for their actions and talk?

Why is Graham’s nose so . . . red? Where has it been? I suppose a better question is, “Where HASN’T it been?” The Catamite Kid is the GOP Leadershit’s most reliable wind sock.

Lindseed marches in whatever direction the wind is blowing on any given day. Who’s worse, a spineless politician or the people that keep re-electing them?

Lindsay hasn’t changed ove the years, he still puts Partisan Politics over the well-being of the country.

I never thought I’d say this, but I miss Scalia. the man was a Constitutional “Originalist”.

He’d sometimes spend hours (if not days) researching the original intent of the framers of the Constitution.

I mention this because the "Clown Car Lawyers of Trump in the Senate have now advanced the ‘idiocy’ an offense must be “criminal” to be impeachable! In plain English, they’re saying that Trump must have broken a “Law” to be impeached.

Seriously?

For whatever it’s worth, I will now point out to the general populace that at the time of the writing of the United States Constitution THERE WERE NO FEDERAL LAWS upon which ANYTHING could be based!

That’s the reason the Constitution references NO EXISTING LAWS, WHAT SO EVER! THERE WERE NONE! State laws; yes, but no federal guidelines at all (and if they DID exist, they’d be listed right after the fly-over limits for airplanes in the capitol air space!)

The Constitution basically states that an impeachable offense is whatever the House deems an impeachable offense to be, “Clown Car” republican lawyers, not withstanding.

One final observation, if I may. Alan Dershowitz, who in 1999, said that Clinton COULD be impeached for “Obstructing Justice”, has now said, upon further review, he has determined that Trump cannot be impeached for the same thing!

In other words, in the Clinton case, Alan determined BY SOME OTHER MEANS RATHER THAN OBJECTIVE RESEARCH that Clinton COULD be charged with obstruction, whereas NOW Alan has determined, after research, that Trump can’t be charged with the same crime!

Sorry, Al, but the law hasn’t changed that much in 20 years – the ONLY THING that’s changed is the political affiliation of the man accused, and the world understands that guilt is at least assumed because of political affiliation – in Russia!

I’m assuming Trump will be establishing gulags and “reeducation centers” after his reelection – Alan’s just a tad before his time, here.
