Macy’s Santa Claus got drunk and released the balloons by mistake.
Sure would be fun if it could happen…
And, they appear to be coming from the Saudi Arabian Macy’s Parade.
Reminds me of “Little Nemo”.
Something about internal air pressure…..

…and then there was that dumb old bear with his red balloon floating by, followed by a tailless donkey “Thank you for noticing me”…
I read that the balloons were in fact released for a few years back in the early years of the parade.
