I am so fortunate to have had the best mom in the world ever! It makes up for having the ‘almost’ worst dad in the world (yes, I have heard some pretty abominable stories as I got older, but bad is bad). I am also glad to have had great friends who allowed me to adopt their amazing dads so I could know what that felt like…
Half of life is your fault. Half is what happens to you. The other half is how you react to it.
The problem with complaining is that if you do too much of it, people stop listening. And if nobody is listening all you wind up doing is to convince yourself how miserable you are.
Complaining isn’t a bad thing. It often gets results. However, if the result you want is to have everyone else be as miserable as you are, you may be successful, but people will avoid you and you won’t have a lot of influence except among other miserable people.
Maybe. Her second husband got tired of her stuff and divorced her after 20 years or so. On the other hand, the Mrs and I have been married now for 28 great years.

No one’s dating my ex ‘cause I don’t have one. Met her in 1965. Married in 1968, still married to her.

I don’t care or think about my ex’s much. When I do I hope that they’re happy.But when I think about my children’s ex’s I hope that they’re suffering.
