The Wizard of Id has been enchanting audiences since 1964, but the real wizards behind this comic classic were artist Brant Parker and writer Johnny Hart.
The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

Excuses, excuses……
Hot Toddy:
.
2 ounces whiskey
.
1 teaspoon sugar
.
2 ounces boiling water
.
mix everything together and pour into a mug
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
If you don’t like whiskey, try a Hot Buttered Rum:
.
2 ounces of dark rum
.
1 twist of lemon peel
.
1 stick of cinnamon
.
1 or 2 whole cloves
,
3/4 cup of boiling Apple cider (hard or soft) or apple juice
.
1 Tablespoon soft butter (room temperature)
.
Put the rum, lemon peel, and cloves in a large mug, pour in the boiling cider or apple juice and stir with the cinnamon stick. Float the tablespoon of butter on top. Let steep a bit so it cools down (and the butter melts) and enjoy!
.
As always, butter means butter.
.
Leave the cinnamon stick in the drink and eat it afterward.

My Toddy mix is: A large mug with 2oz (or so) Bourbon (whiskey), lemon juice, 3-4 cloves, honey to taste … hot water in which a Celestial Cinnamon Apple Spice teabag is steeped for 2 mins.

“Pour into a mug …”
First you have to find the mug who wants to drink it …

As if the ski resort crowd wasn’t prone enough to stupidity when they’re sober… Don’t mind me it’s been a looong ski season.

As long as they don’t wind up on the ski jump in Non-sequitor … although … with the Wizard along … it’s the bears that might be in trouble!

Sure and he’ll not be needing the skis with what he has in mind. Gliding so smoothly up and down those slopes. Racing carefully down the valley,in graceful slalom style.
Etc.,Etc.,Etc.

I agree, leave the booze alone. I like to be in control of my own mind.
