The Wizard of Id has been enchanting audiences since 1964, but the real wizards behind this comic classic were artist Brant Parker and writer Johnny Hart.
The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

That burger sounds more poisonous than the apples.

At least it won’t kill a person as fast as your
poisoned apples will.
Alexikakos said, 8 months ago
As apples aren’t poisonous in and of themselves, shouldn’t that sign read “Poisoned Apples?”
.
There was nothing funny in the strip so I thought I’d apple pick.

Are you trying to kill vampires by putting “stake” on it? I prefer steak myself!

I’ll pass on that. But it sounds like something that would be a big hit at the State Fare.

Witchie should try subterfuge. The phrases “natural” and “environmentally friendly” usually help.
