The Wizard of Id has been enchanting audiences since 1964, but the real wizards behind this comic classic were artist Brant Parker and writer Johnny Hart.
The pair began paving the path to the Kingdom of Id in 1950, when Parker, a staff artist for the Binghamton Press in upstate New York, was asked to judge a high school art contest. Among the entrants was a teenager by the name of Johnny Hart, whose work so impressed Parker that he arranged a meeting.

Can’t blame Spook on this one.

Swill needs no spoon. Just drink it down holding your nose.
Alexikakos said, 8 months ago
Since the basic perspective remains the same, we now have the magically changing swill container. Spook won’t be able to set it down either.

Spook, that’s not pheasant under glass you’re eating. I think I might applaud the last meal if I were in your shoes.

Is that steam rising from the swill in the first panel?
rshive said, 8 months ago
Might be steam; but i think more likely the odor arising from well-seasoned swill.
