Younger and friskier, she couldn’t beat Obama. She’s one charismatic Dem away from second place again.

For reasons that escape me, many are saying she’s a shoo-in for the nomination and election.

But I’m waiting for Five Thirty Eight to come back with some predictions. Or at least IEM.

And I’m guessing this will be nowhere near the Bill Clinton presidential library. Now I’m wondering where the Chelsea Clinton presidential library will be built.

This is very funny. Toles is great. I love “Polls show her ahead of herself” — with a double meaning. Brilliant.

You know, if the Republicans have nobody who can beat Hillary, we might be able to run Elizabeth Warren. I would rather have the sure thing, but if just about any Democrat can beat anyone the Republicans have, which appears to be the case, Warren would do some serious shaking up of the system, while Hillary would be more inclined to go with the status quo.
And, the thought of President Warren would scare Wall Street enough to make them put money on Hillary.

Personally, I think it would be better for the Democratic Party and, perhaps, the whole nation if Obama appoints Hillary to the Supreme Court. She’s qualified — better than some of the people already there — it would insulate her from the venom of the Right, and she could quit being a mediocre politician.
While I love Elizabeth Warren as a person and as a Senator, I do NOT want her going for the Oval Office yet. She’s done too much to shape up the Senate and the various enforcement organizations who thought they could get away with slacking.

Several worthwhile comments. Thanks. I would add that Mr. Biden was added to the equation to answer the widely-held (and widely-spoken on all news channels) belief that Mr. Obama didn’t have foreign-policy chops. Whether we agree with this or not, these are the facts: as soon as Mr. Biden was announced as his VP, all that talk instantly stopped. We need to give Mr. Obama credit where it’s due: he can read people and play politics. Being a true leader, as we have seen in more than one administration, is a lot more difficult to pull off than getting into office.

What I want to know is why all this hysteria over Hillary’s possible nomination. I’m waiting for someone to post a link to her saying she’d even consider running.

Some irony in the fact that only the teabaggers think so. They’re wrong about everything else, I’ll go with that consistency.

You won’t catch me speculating on politicos and if they will run or not. I’ll just wait till one is chosen then let the speculation begin. But not before.

The Plutocrats who run the parties will not let Elisabeth Warren run for very long. She is against what they stand for.
