    Read about the Great American Street Car Scandal. Oil and auto companies got together and bought up streetcar and trolley lines across the country just to destroy them and push people to buy cars. Imagine where the US could be if we had invested more in public transportation all those decades ago through today instead of subsidizing fossil fuels,

    Toles certainly hates the Metro in Washington. Maybe Toles should try driving his own car for a while, maybe then he’ll gain a better appreciation for the Metro. Toles should know that Great Expectations lead to Great Disappointments, public transportation will always be something less than desired.

    The 30-day pass to the European Rail System was great. My wife says the Russian Rail Stations are fantastic. The Metro could be soo much better. Does it go ALL the way to the Airport, yet?

    It was also a fantasy of Ahnold. At least Jerry Brown has submitted a balanced budget, and we may actually begin to work on 21st century rail.
