The ENTIRE U.S. Political system distilled down to 14 words!
Sad, isn’t it?

Remind me again who were American’s before the 1700’s?
Or in less numeric words, in Jesus’s day?

@then00b
Before the 1700 there were no Americans, only Cherokees, Shawnees, Algonkins, Iroquois, etc., who, collectively, were called “Americans” by various Europeans. Before 1500, the idea of Americans didn’t exist, nor the word.

That is where we are going wrong. I think the constitution was not to make any laws that would infringe on the minorty rights It also means on the majoritys right.

Except, we won our independence before joining the US, and now racists on both coasts insist on giving us back to Mexico, nevermind, we are one of the few states that have a strong economy, inspite of what the liberals and democrats are doing to us.

In the meantime the gates to America are open. Everyone who can run, swim or polevault can cross the border.

Isn’t that how the country was founded?

@masterskrain
yes, it seems they are more concerned about the state of the party than the state of the union.

And that is why every single member of Congress who has served more than one or two terms should be “primaried” regardless of party. We tried imposing term limits through voting a law but the congress-scum challenged it in court and got it thrown out. So we must rise up a revolt. We must overthrow this dysfunctional government. We MUST do it through the ballot box. We MUST work to educate ourselves regarding the candidates to determine who is the best for the country and the masses. We….
Aww forget it, it’s too much effort, we’re Americans, we’re lazy and want our thoughts spoon fed to us.

This cartoon pretty much sums it up. The republicans have shown for years they would do nothing, even hurt themselves in order to prevent anything of benefit to the people if it would benefit the Democrats in the slightest.
Do something of great benefit to the nation as a whole – well if we have to.
It will help the Democrats a little bit – then not just no, but hell NO!

Term limits were always an excellent idea for lobbyists, unelected bureaucrats, and corporations; and a terrible idea for citizens. Election reform (especially campaign finance reform) would attack the cause rather than the symptoms of the problem.
