Given the things he’s said outside the court, I’d rather he kept silent.

“Partisan judicial conservatism”? Partisan judicial reactionism is more like it.

With unemployment over 8% and the economy in the crapper for every minute of “The Ones” 1st and only term, let’s spend 3 1/2 yrs cramming socialized health care down the throats of the people. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

Obamie doesn’t scare me. It’s the people who willingly vote for the Dweeb that scare me. Romney 2012!!

You might want to rethink the assumption that one party is so different from the other…

Many pundits are saying the the Roberts " defection " was done in reaction to the over abundance of publicity given to Justice Kennedy prior to the vote, as he was considered the “swing” voter and the " moderate" voice of conservatism on the court.
Roberts wanted it known whose “court” it really was. Everyone knows what wing-nuts Scalia and Thomas are, so Roberts can use them as straw men for his opinions without being tarred with the same brush. Alito goes along with the herd but Kennedy is the X- factor and the darling of the press.
    In short, ego overcame dogma.

I find your idea very interesting. I have a friend who thinks that Kennedy revels in being the swing vote because he likes all the attention it brings him. Do you know if there is any well reasoned analysis about that idea?

And yet ironically the corporations won again. After all the Affordable Care Act is a creature of The Heritage Foundation and noted hard line ‘think tank’ crafted it and governor Willard “Mitt” Romney first used it state wide. Than that noted Republican—-Democrat Pres. Obama thought it a good idea to keep corporations healthy and making sure US tax payer money would be paid to corporations by forcing US citizens to join any of them and the ones who can’t afford it will have it paid to said Health corps.

Agreed, it’s not perfect. Single payer would be better (and cheaper for all of us). Agreed, corporations benefit. But so do actual people, which is more than can be said for any Wall Street bailouts. Check this site.

Note to Nite-gaunt: I stop reading when a poster can’t figure out when to use the word “then” or “than”. It makes their point a lot less intelligent when they can’t tell when to use which word. And lastly: don’t call it “Affordable Care Act”. It’s Obamacare. Get with the program. After all, I’ll be paying for your healthcare, courtesy “your” president.

Ejection Nov 6th, 2012!!! Yeah Baby!

With unemployment over 8% and the economy in the crapper for every minute of “The Ones” 1st term because failed policies of the prior eight years, let’s be forced to spend 3 1/2 yrs fighting with idiots and biggots to get real health care to the Amercan people. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

Maybe Scalia and Alito will tell all when they appear at the next Republican fund raiser.

It’s a petty mind that gets so exercised about typos. Or as Sancho Panza would say to Don Quixote when he’d misuse some word or phrase—I’m paraphrasing here—“You understand the meaning of my words. Why are you complaining.”
