    I didn’t know that Neilsen viewers were literate enough for GoComics.

    If this is true, we are not amused.

    For whatever it’s worth, I see nothing about this on PaBlog or newadventuresofqueenvictoria.com.

    Sigh. Unless this is just a joke, another quality strip bites the dust. I’d think I’d get used to it, but I probably never will.

    First Cow&Boy and now this. But Garfield lives on… What is wrong with people?

    I hope this is a joke. But based on how they treated Yenny’s creator I wouldn’t be surprised.

    Legend had it that a kid approached Shoeless Joe Jackson at the height of the Black Sox scandal and cried, “Say it ain’t so, Joe!” and Joe turned away.

    Jackson himself says it never happened, and declared that if it had, he’d have said, “Of course it ain’t so.”

    So.

    Anyone else notice the 12/9 in the top left corner? It’s a re-run, just like yesterday’s.

    @Ima
    Guess what ? It’s a free country and you are free not to read this strip. If you don’t understand the humor, no problem. You can always find strips that you can understand and enjoy.
    Oh, BTW, I apologize for inadvertently flagging you. I didn’t mean to, and unfortunately, I can’t get it to Unflag. This is why I wish we had an edit button.

    @Linguist

    @Linguist – I get the humor and I love the strip. I’ve loved it ever since I first found it a few weeks ago. (Despite the fact that I’m a Republican, I found the Rom-bot story arc especially amusing.) But people seemed genuinely dismayed. Thought I’d help to assuage fears!

    That being said, I went back. I was right. 12/9/06. I actually LIKE the fact that he occasionally reruns older strips, though, especially some of the funnier story lines. That’s why I also read FBOFW. I know it’s all reruns. But, like I said, people seemed genuinely dismayed and hoping it’s not a joke and even referencing it happening to other strips.

    I just wanted to let people know that it’s okay. It’s just a rerun of an older story arc.

    And I forgive you. I’ve inadvertently flagged and been unable to unflag, myself. I agree. There REALLY needs to be an unflag option, or something to pop up and say “are you sure?” or something.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if some newspaper somewhere decided to dump this comic (as well as a few others). Comics pages seem to be shrinking in a lot of newspapers — and then they wonder why newspaper subscriptions go down, while people use the Internet for their comics.

    Since when have the enlisted men in the Royal Navy been anything but low?
