Indians got even by teaching other Europeans about syphillis and gonorrhea.
    .
What is weird is that while mummies in Peru have been found with syphillis more than 2000 years old, and despite the large number of groups from different continents “discovering” America over the millennia, it never seems to have made it’s way back to one of the other continents before the 1500s.

Nabupuduriuzhur, I think the natives gave them cigarette smoking too. Something else that Pilgrim can cough about.

Actually, a plague had killed most of the Indians before the pilgrims ever landed. Later in history, I believe it was English soldiers who gave the Indians blankets which were infected with smallpox.

There was an old Wayne & Schuster skit about that being a practical joke the Native played on Sir Walter Raleigh – “I fooled him into putting burning leaves in his mouth”

In the 1500s and 1600s, when up to 90% of the populations of the Americas died from diseases for which they had no immunity, NO ONE had any idea how anything was transmitted. NO ONE was deliberately spreading anything. The idea presented in this comic is pure MYTH.

At first no, but by the 1760s, they were employing small pox as a military strategy ((with many letters between military personnel discussing it).

Great. Using Thanksgiving now to spread liberal fables. Yeah, yeah, all white men are bad, and have been the only source of all evil throughout history. Before the white man intervened, the indigenous cultures lived fairy-tale-like lives. When they’d meet up with somebody from another tribe, they’d invite them over to roast marshmallows and sing kumbaya around the campfire.
