   Socialism, too. While it claims to be atheistic, under Communism or National Socialism, both the central leader (Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Tito, etc.) and “The State” effectively are Socialism’s “gods.”

   Here’s a simple explanation of no religion in public schools:
   You see, public schools serve all the people, and people tend to believe in different ways in these United States, while some believe in nothing at all. Separation of church and state means that our government cannot show favoritism towards any one belief system. Public schools are branches of our government. Therefore, if you allow one set of religious beliefs to be used in schools, you must allow them all. You have to agree that doing so would be nothing but incoherent chaos. Therefore, it is best to allow NO religion in school.
   Religion should be taught in the home and in the various religious institutions, not in the public schools.

    Yep. Also I don’t like my school’s water fountain having fluoridated water.

    No but you don’t tend to last long. Or in my case you end up sitting in the halls during religion class until the priests took over teaching it as the teacher couldn’t answer my question. It’s not that I’m an atheists but at the age of 12 I asked “If God is so powerful, couldn’t he have manifested as Buddha, or a cow or any number of things? Or for that reasoning couldn’t the devil have actually tricked us by saying he was God?” That was A a little deep for a 12 yr old and B my parents got called.

    I laughed when I read this comic but felt very sad when I read the comments. Since I truly believe and have a great love of a personal God, I just find it sad…One can never tell someone what to believe, but the atheiests feel it is their duty to try to convince us to not love someone that we have a personal connection with. Some religious fanatics, however, give Christians a VERY bad name. Live and let live! Peace.
