“Before I tried Reflux-be-gone, I was old and crotchety. Now, after just one tablet, I’m young, vibrant, vivacious and my phone never stops ringing.”

I’m sure the one’s husband is out looking for a “Crusade to anywhere” to keep him out of the castle.

    First painting:
    Click-to-enlarge image available from here.

Portrait of a Woman isn’t described online, as far as I know, at its current-location (the artist name doesn’t appear in the Artists A-Z list). This (different coloration image with various sizes) and this (different coloration image with various sizes, detail image with various sizes) both say she’s Sibylla Kessel. This artist’s Wikipedia page and collection.

So far, only work by this artist to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

    Second painting:
Click-to-enlarge image available from here (last View All Sizes choice).

Portrait of Cristina di Belgiojoso Trivulzio (click link for her Wikipedia page) is, as far as I know, privately owned (click image there for a different coloration, click-to-enlarge image). This Google translated (sometimes his should be her, etc.) article has a bit of a painting description, as well as other details about her. This has a short Google translated (sometimes he should be she, etc.) essay about her. This artist’s Wikipedia page and collection.

So far, 5 works by this artist have appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.
