Tired of art snobs and their stuffy old museums? So was Steve Melcher, so he created That Is Priceless -- dedicated to taking art’s greatest masterpieces down a peg with irreverent new titles. You don’t have to be an art lover to appreciate Steve’s sticking it to the man on a regular basis – especially when that man is someone like Caravaggio, who when you look a little closer, was really kind of a jerk.

Click-to-enlarge image available from here (different year, unknown artist).
It isn’t in the Wikipedia collection of works by this artist (first Conrad Meyer on that page), because, even though several commercial sites sell it as his Portrait Of Joseph Orell, this is the Wikipedia page for the artist’s painting of him.
So far, only work attributed to this artist to appear in Mr. Melcher’s blog. That was on 1/29/11. At that time, the image shown here was still in the Wikipedia page. The current image was uploaded on 2/22/11. Mr. Melcher is no doubt unaware of the change, as are the commercial sites selling the image.
Portrait of Barbara von Orelli is described by its current-location (the source of the title image) in (Google translated) German, French, and Italian. Perhaps all taken together will show a correct translation.
