    Whose fault?

"In the meantime … if Speaker [John] Boehner wants to avoid a government shutdown, he will pass our resolution,” Reid said. “Otherwise, it’s a government shutdown.”

Uhh excuse me. The Senate has NO AUTHORITY to pass a SPENDING bill. That is reserved to the HOUSE. But, be that as it may, the HOUSE has passed a bill that the senate does not agree with and so the senate – through Reid – has delivered and ultimatum. Pass OUR version or the government will shut down.

Now who exactly is using crisis politics?

When we have a President who refuses to negotiate on anything, but instead wants to be a dictator, this I a what must happen. Unfortunately, the ignorant will believe his argument that he is the one who is the one to bring people together.

Really? This is what your doing. Are weak transparent attempt to put all of the blame at the feet of the democrats all you can muster?

Any spending bill that requires the signature of the President still has to go through the Senate. Could that mean ALL OF CONGRESS can be blamed?

But since you want to say only the House then lets. How many times have they had completely uselss votes to defund the Affordable Care Act? Do you suppose they knew full well the Senate would not pass it and the president will not sign it? This is a crystal clear indication that the republican leadership in the house is so weak and the republicans are so fractured that meaningless votes are the only thing they can agree to work together on.

That is why blame will be put at the feet of the republicans for a shutdown. And it will happen again if they cause a default on the national loans.

The world is getting warmer, the population will exceed the food supply, and the republicans will take the blame for the shutdown.

It’s politician’s fault that the government is dysfunctional. Since it has gotten far worse lately and the political group that has increased its influence in government the most is the Democrats it is clearly the majoriy their fault this is happening.

“Partisanship” has become too synonymous with “stupid”, and while both sides have radicals who are guilty, that radical stupid has become the “mainstream” in the Republican circle (jerk).

Gee, and the rest of the civilized industrialized world goes even further to single payer health care. And while we are number 1 in the cost of our health care, we are rated number 38 in the actual quality of that very care. The quality of our health care is rated just behind that of Costa Rica, who is rated number 50 in cost! How about we give this ACA a chance. It could hardly get any worse, and if it does not get any better, then Congress has the right to modify it until it does get better. How is that for a reasonable compromise?

I am sorry, I know some here might think that I would go along with your post, but it is just too extreme for my liking. Despite what some ultra conservatives might think, liberals are NOT cannibals!!

Great “negotiating” tactics, GOP. “If you don’t kill your child, we’ll starve him to death.”
