things are much different now. many more crazy people out and about. more druggies and drunks. more violent crime. parents teach less to thier kids making the eorld inherently more dangerous for kids today. the list goes on. hard to compare different time periods in the context your talking about because so many things are different.
the issue with jobs is not a lack of them. it is people not being able to do most of the jobs out there. even coleg gads can’t do most of the real work,which is why we bring in foreigners to do the jobs. english grads cannot be mathematicians or biologists. that just shows how poor our education system really is. i always find it funny when peopl complain about loss of jobs like cashier or manufacturing. can make far more with science and math careers that require degrees.

and lastly, i always wonder about this. i keep hearing these anti trump people saying he was un-presidential. so tell me,what exactly is a president?someone who speaks well and acts nice but just hurts the vast majority of citizens? i could care less about anything but their performance. and trump did a great job. for the first time in decades drugs prices lowered rather than raised. income for blacks,hispanics, ex cons, and many other groups improved to record levels. trump was taking on china which is doing some very scary things like genetic engineering and social reprogramming while most people just yawn about it. the communist chinese will make the german nazis look like boyscouts with the tools china has. trump was going to pull us out of the WHO and the UN. the UN is useless. sure it has some minor success but the money wasted on both organizations could be better used. trump cut the cost of the presidential planes by a billion dollars. trump reformed taxes larger than any president since truman(but that also requires congress so the president does not get all credit). the NSA grew very powerful under bush due to 9-11 and even more powerful under mr nice guy obama(another way obama trampled on american rights) but trump started repealing those powers. even though it was helpful to most people just because it also helped trump morons slobbered over that illogical argument. so while trump did lie some he did much more good than any president in a very long time. america got what is deserved when the election was stolen.
david, there were no lies when it came to covid. covid was overblown and it is a shame so many people fell for the lies of covid. and i dont care if trump lied. every politician lies on purpose and it that is not what matters. what matters is the real effect of the lies they tell. as i said, obama was not a great person. now was clinton in his time or biden today. the simple fact of the matter is that we had decades of evidence showing that welfare did not help the poor. it actually put more money in the top 1% of wealthy people. and it has accelerated under biden. yet every election dems trot out the same old story about welfare being good for the poor. that is not being a good person in my book. as the population has grown that means fewer resources for more people. and democrat leaders now this. as just one example. as for your assertion about deficits, that is not all on trump. that is more on congress than the president. so do not blame the president for the vast majority of spending. the president has much less control over the budget.and yes, people today are simple minded. it astounds me how foolish people are today. we are suppose to be getting more intelligent but we are moving backwards. such as more people sharing fewer resources int he US as opposed to say 1968. you would think people who for decades living off welfare and only getting poorer would rethink their beliefs. but our politicians, both dems and republicans., want people stupid and unable to think for themselves. it is one reason why censorship is being pushed so much. which directly contradicts our bills of rights. just astounding how stupid the US is becoming.
