   you do realize that you are sending your accounts numbers monthly to a faceless stranger, right? Also, if you pay a bill online, you simply print a copy of the payment as proof. I don’t have a problem paying bills online, but the difference is, instead of giving my account numbers to a bunch of different entities, I do it through my bank’s payment system, where I enter the different entities into the bank’s system and send the payments that way. Besides which, even if you don’t pay online, once it gets to your payee, they enter into a computer system and process it electronically, so it still gets into a database that can be hacked.The key is, that just like when you pay everything by check, you should always keep your account balanced and check on it frequently to catch anything that looks fraudulent. I balance up up checkbook the old fashioned way often and double check all the debits that hit my account against my receipts at least weekly. (and I’m a gen-x; the fact that I can actually balance my checkbook should tell you I’m not a millennial lol)

   its freezing cold here in the mid-Appalachians but the sky is clear and the temps are supposed to rise pretty rapidly with little to now wind, so here its going to come in like a lamb.

   I agree, though – that was extremely rude potentially unsafe to NOT tell Jerri about the old man upstairs. It wouldn’t matter if he’s too old and decrepit to move on his own well, Jerri should have been told – both for her own safety and to know to check on the fellow. If I was their mother, I’d be having a very serious discussion with the twins’ mother and most likely wouldn’t be letting my daughter babysit for her again, at least, not without serious consideration first.

   well, with those girls and the way they keep insisting that Teena is a boy named Steve, I’d guess their mom did try to explain and it completely didn’t register.

   I’ve been known to do that lol. Give me a bag of mixed nuts and I’ll do the same – eat the almonds all together, then the cashews, and hold the peanuts until last.
