That being said, if you are considering having sex with someone who might have HIV, I also recommend using a condom.
Actually, I understand a circumcised penis is less likely to contact HIV and is one of the efforts being promoted to combat the spread of HIV in Africa.
Weary…yes I grow weary of it all also. Part of it may be just age. As I grow older I think I get more emotional also. Thismorning, just the news of the Ukrainian resistance to the Russian advance brought tears to my eyes. The are fighting for their country but also fighting for democracy. I fear that like all resistance fighters of the past, they will pay a very high cost, but whether they win or lose, they are Heros just the same.
I remember my grandfather wearing a hear aid in his shirt pocket. It was the size of a very thick cell phone. I clearly remember him sitting in a chair being being confronted by his four 30ish daughters over some issue and very pointedly reaching over an turning OFF his hearing aid. He was about 80 at the time and I was about 3 and I though that was the coolest thing.
At my age, waking up and not being able to stand on my own, or walk or speak is a very real fear. Not so much afraid of death but am afraid of being alive but no longer being independant .
After some thought, I believe the underlying difference between conservatives and liberal in the long term is their stance on wealth transfer. Conservatives believe wealth transfer destroys the initiative of the lower economic classes while the liberals stance is wealth transfer is needed to enable the lower economic classes to develop their full potential. A more important question maybe is what is the difference between a conservatism and a populism which Trump has made the underlying philology the Republican Party.
