Those are the ugliest crocs I’ve ever seen, including the shoes of the same name.

Libby’s version of Zebra reminds me of either the zebra from “Madagascar” or the donkey form “Shrek” a bit.

Nooo…!! I actually miss the good ol’ Pastis drawn Crocs! Not saying these ones are bad, but they just ain’t the Crocs from Zeeba Zeeba Eeta I’ve come to love…!

Libby is good! —Especially for a first try! My only criticism would be that her otherwise excellent crocs seem to have the mumps….To be sure, I can see why Cartoon-Boy might object to her storyline….

Does ees not reel croks. Not hansum like Larrie and Bob.

She fills the space. Unlike that usual guy.

Nope – bring back my usual crocs and zeeba and the rest.

… and the Crocs look a bit like characters from Calvin & Hobbs …

Looking a bit like Pogo, although the style appears more like Rose is Rose. But it’s not believable. That croc has Pastis in his mouth, and from what we can guess about Pastis’ hygiene, that’s pretty unlikely, even for a croc.

meh, Libbie can’t seem to get the hang of croc eyeballs. Why else draw them shut?

Interesting how the different art styles send entirely different messages. I much prefer Stephan’s art for this strip.

What, is Libby’s mom or dad one of the animators for Madagascar? That doesn’t look like Zebra being “drawn gud” it looks like someone basing their drawing skills of the movie series. And are those crocs or gators? Think the snouts look more like alligators. AWFUL looks.

BUT, given comments he’s made in some of the treasuries about how long it takes him to actually draw things with lots of detail and that look decent, probably took Pastis a couple days to draw that middle panel. Much more detailed than his typical drawing style.

I think Pastis drew the middle panel himself. I have found it takes as much talent to draw simple panels consistently as it does to draw more complex ones.

This is incredibly funny in my opinion.

And yes, that zebra looks exactly like the one from “Madagascar”.

Yeah … the art’s definitely different, but it’s interesting, too.

The dialogue, though, really made me laugh. Well done.
