Hmmm….I wonder if enough climate change deniers were wearing their aluminum foil hats, the “solar flares” (which, somehow, just happened to occur simultaneously with dramatic increases in manmade atmospheric CO2) the heat would be reflected back into space and save us from skin cancer….

You posted a lot of partisan talking points, but your post are devoid of any facts to back them up.

How do so many science-deniers breathe with their heads firmly planted in the sand?

Just as medical decisions are too important to be left to doctors.
    .
Republican politicians reserve that choice for themselves.

Perhaps all Gods are just one God, named by individual peoples and cultures to reflect their outlook.
Compare it to our Sun, given many names all over the Earth, but just the one and only Sun.

BTW, not exactly a “God-Squad” kind of guy, more of an agnostic, but if there is some sort of massive consciousness above and beyond that which we can comprehend, it’s probably the same to and for everyone, whether they call it God or Jehovah or Allah, etc.

Here are some quotes from Harleyquinn’s link:

Most researchers would agree that while the original hockey stick can – and has – been improved in a number of ways, it was not far off the mark.

Yet again, though, the key conclusion is the same: it’s hotter now than it has been for at least 1000 years…. It might even be hotter now than it has been for at least a million years.

The crucial point is that our modern civilisation has been built on the basis of the prevailing climate and sea levels. As these change, it will cause major problems.

The report states: “The basic conclusion of Mann et al. (1998, 1999) was that the late 20th century warmth in the Northern Hemisphere was unprecedented during at least the last 1000 years. This conclusion has subsequently been supported by an array of evidence that includes both additional large-scale surface temperature reconstructions and pronounced changes in a variety of local proxy indicators, such as melting on ice caps and the retreat of glaciers around the world”.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Harleyquinn!

“And I need to back up the truth?”

This is the first time that such a concept has ever occurred to you, isn’t it, Ms. Ima?

    http://thinkprogress.org/climate/2013/03/25/1768601/in-hot-water-global-warming-has-accelerated-in-past-15-years-new-study-of-oceans-confirms/?mobile=nc

Completely contrary to the popular contrarian myth, global warming has accelerated, with more overall global warming in the past 15 years than the prior 15 years. This is because about 90% of overall global warming goes into heating the oceans, and the oceans have been warming dramatically.
As suspected, much of the ‘missing heat’ Kevin Trenberth previously talked about has been found in the deep oceans. Consistent with the results of Nuccitelli et al. (2012), this study finds that 30% of the ocean warming over the past decade has occurred in the deeper oceans below 700 meters, which they note is unprecedented over at least the past half century.

Bill Nye the Science Guy did a Climate 101 video that is on youtube. I like it when he unplugs the TV while Michele Bachmann is talking.
