The cartoonist’s view of the conflict is as shallow as the characters he depicts here. One side has taken great care to avoid killing civilians, both on its side and among those who are attacking it. The other side is deliberately attacking enemy civilians whenever it can reach them and shows what is at best carelessness and at worst cynical malice toward the safety of the people it purports to represent.

Excellent point. Israel has dropped leaflets and used every tool at its disposal to warn the people in Gaza that if they don’t leave Palestine, they’ll all probably be killed. As Robert Fulford writes in the Canadian Post,

Israel has already proven itself the most restrained nation in history. It has set an all-time record for restraint.

By taking great care would you be referencing the mortar fire used to warn of greater attacks. Of which at this point 30 casualties can be attributed to?

Do you feel 3 minutes is adequate time to escape an airstrike in a densely populated, poorly designed area ?

Is there a reason that using soldiers (As is common in peacekeeping) is not a possibility ?

Both sides are performing reprehensible actions, however one side is receiving a large amount of military aid. Yes the PA receives aid money, however I consider providing weapons to be a different level of responsibility for actions than providing food.

When you’ve been locked in a ghetto by supremely well armed “guards”, and you can’t get a job, food, water, or anything essential to life, let alone freedom, you resist.

Netanyahu and the folks should remember that. A lot of other Israelis who want to see justice, do remember, and thus have often voted against such as “Bibi”, but without success in getting a saner government.

I see. The Israelis have forced the “Palestinians” to occupy that area and will not allow them to leave.
    I did not know that.
You would think that such an important detail would be widely known.

If you ever wondered how ordinary German people stood by as millions of Jews were rounded up and exterminated, you can observe how millions today act as apologists for Israel’s behaviour toward the Palestinian people.

Israel was NOT “attacked”, without provocation. They’ve long persecuted those in Lebanon, and of course the West Bank (which is Jordan actually) and Gaza. They’ve never once seriously considered a true truce, because all international efforts recognize that Arab (not “Muslim”) control over east Jerusalem is a lynchpin Israel refuses every time to accept.

If Israel would return to the LEGAL boundaries they were granted, and STOP attacking their neighbors with impunity, like bombing Iraq and Syria, they might put their money where their mouthpieces are. It has nothing to do with being “Jews” or “Semites”, and everything to do with being abusers of human rights, with a fantastically false P.R. campaign covering for their atrocities.

It is the Israeli INTERNAL opposition to Likud and the radicals’ actions that should get more attention, and support. A sane and stable Israel DOES INDEED HAVE A RIGHT TO EXIST, but the current band of criminals running the country, do NOT.

Well now, how did they just decide that they were going to expand into new territory?
That has to be a story worth telling.
Why not regale us with the horrors of Israel’s actions in their invasion of this disputed territory? I’m sure it illustrates their base inhumanity, so you should bring it up to make your point and drive it home.
Down at the Sunset Grill is playing. Nice.
