Of course now NASA is broke and private companies are coming to their rescue.

This is how 1/2 of 1% of our tax money is spent compared to what 5.4 percent spent on war?

And for all the people who complain about “Spending all that Money in Space”, Etc…Etc…, let me remind you that the U.S. has NEVER spent a Penny in Space!
ALL the money spent on the Space Program has been spent right here on Earth, providing some needed jobs, and a lot of Technology improvements over the years!
I’d sure rather my tax dollars go to Mars Probes, or a Return to the Moon then to buy another couple of thousand pound Bombs, to be used to Bomb some country back to the Stone Age!

And alot more was spent supporting the lazy on wellfare.

@masterskrain
Yes but the ones complaining want the money to be spent on wellfare.

And Republicans. They still have a vote, and they vote for welfare. They kill welfare in this economy, they kill America. Even business leaders are realizing the mistake in the budget cliff that the Republicans have scheduled for January — it turns out that government spending DOES create jobs. Who knew?

Congratulations to NASA and the JPL. To be honest I never thought this would work. And the President was right, this sends a clear signal to the world that America is not finished. Yet…

THIS is what American exceptionalism is. Anyone who watches television, uses GPS, maps, etc. can thank NASA.

“Government is a necessary evil and nothing more than concentrated force. It’s not worth preserving in its present corrupt state.”
Have you watched the RoboCop movies.
There is a system of Government for you.

The world, and this Canadian, has a huge amount of respect for American science.
But if you want to keep it, you’ll have to shut up the flat-earthers, creationists, climate change deniers, and other assorted anti-science Mitt-wits.

A little reminder to the right wingnuts…scientists did this amazing thing. Scientists who have shown global warming to be a fact. Scientists have proven evolution. Now go back to Faux News and resume babbling in the attempt to bring the U.S. into the dark ages.

It was Nixon, Reagan and the Bush’s who totally corrupted government.
