So what is your solution to the dysfunctional state that the US so-called health care system was before the AHCA went into effect, other than “repeal Obamacare”?

Mine would be to join the rest of the industrialized world and adopt a single-payer Canadian style system, but I don’t think that would be what either you or ConserveGov had in mind.

    Explain how it was dysfunctional.
My friends wife is from Canada. They have a great system if your injured in a car wreck or some other accidental mishap.Have a heart attack or stroke.Good catastrophic emergency room care.
Don’t get cancer or require orthopedic surgery of any kind though. You get to go on the 2-3 years waiting list for expensive treatment that you may die waiting for or be to old to get .
My premiums went from $120 a month to $420 a month and then got cancelled all together .What exactly is so good about a $6000 dollar deductible?

Why not ask one of the Canadians who post here what they think of the system?

The latest story is that more and more young people ARE buying into the system. But of course, the best way would be to simply cover everyone by a govt program like in Canada or France – no need for an “insurer” other than the govt; In both countires it works very well. In France especially. But try and tell that to a Republican or a Tea-Partier and they will foam at the mouth and scream “Socialism”… as if having the worst health care system in the Western world is worse than a little socilaism. When more Americans die in childbirth than Cubans because they can’t afford proper prenatal care, it is time to stop worrying about bogeymen like “socialism” and adopt something that will cover everyone.

A broken record. Ready? Romney Obama Care works just fine in Massachusetts and has since 2006. Okay? Further, it’s off to a good start in states like California, Washington, Oregon and Kentucky where the people and the Pols see the societal good in it and are, therefore, helping it work.
    -
Romney Obama Care is hurting on talk radio, true, and Fox Noise, absolutely, and in the Red States, the states where it could do the most good.

    Vroom. Vroom.

Mine would be to roll out a steady stream of incremental reforms so that the health care system and the economy have time to adjust while permitting changes to begin with reasonable speed.
