The NRA may advocate many a bad policy. But somehow placing women into direct combat does not seem to be one of them, to me at least!!

The NRA educates people about guns.
Liberals continue their ‘dumb down the population’ efforts.

My how the world has changed. I feel safer living in Harlem than my friends in suburban Dallas do living there.

The NRA is an arm of the Republican party. I received 4 mailings from them in one week saying that the Democratic candidates would take my guns away.

…actually the kids were shot in a “gun free” zone. I can guarantee you, where all the kids in a gun range it never would have happened.

Where are you getting that the NRA will want everyone else disarmed?

Almost every pickup in my rural farming/ranching community has a rifle or shotgun in it. The interesting thing is that the counties last two homicides were a stabbing with a knife, and a stabbing with: wait for it: a barbecue fork!! Now rural people do know how to use guns, and with coyotes and "varmints’ as well as lots of bird and big game hunting, rifles are common, but “military style” AR-15s and "mini-14’s are mostly only carried by the police.

The big cities are shy on coyotes (discounting the ones on our southern border) so that firepower everyone wants only has one outlet for the aggression- other people. Which, for legitimate “self defense”, how about one of those neat “spy guns” with darts and quick acting sedatives that drop the “bad guys”, and secures them for those police that might take from 1 1/2 minutes (Sandy Hook) or five minutes (Tucson) to arrive?

Well, I’ve read the Feinstein bill. It does provide for a “buyback” program (using federal Byrne JAG grant funds), but it would be voluntary. I never saw a thing in it relating to confiscation, so I think that onguard may be misinformed.

No, the NRA indoctrinates children, even as the country as a whole turns away from gun ownership. They do not represent sportsmen any more. They a a lobbying group for gun manufacturers, who have mounted a pernicious campaign to delude private citizens that they will have their guns confiscated. Only fools and paranoiacs believe it.
