That pill comes with a myriad of bureaucratic strings attached that will trap states forever.

I’m glad some governors have the guts to say no thanks.

But it was a great idea in the 90s when Newt Gingrich wanted exactly this…or even when Mitt Romney signed it in Massachusetts, right?

“We suffer from a status quo bias, which makes us value what we’ve already got over the alternatives, just because we’ve already got it — which might, of course, make us react badly to new laws, even when they are really an improvement over what we’ve got….”

Which is to say, Mr. Payne, ACA will very likely turn out better than a third of the population getting ‘health care ’ in the Emergency Room at their local hospital, at their local taxpayers’ expense. After all, it is and has been working in Massachusetts for numerous years…

Is that considered better or worst than a suppository?

I believe in universal health care and I think it’s long overdue in our country. There is bound to be a breaking in period for this process and it will no doubt raise a furor amongst some Americans. Realistically I wish Obama would have gotten single payer to being with. I have no doubt that’s where ACA will evolve to over time, but IMO it’s going to be an arduous process until we get there.

Have you calculated how much the insurance companies have raised your rates long before Obama had ever been elected? Or how many times your employer changed the insurance company they contracted with?

Get off your Capitalist butt and buy some insurance from a private, for-profit company so that WE Socialist taxpayers can quit paying for your “Free” Emergency Room visits.
