Pulitzer Prize editorial cartoonist Signe Wilkinson spread her wings and created Family Tree, allowing her to write and draw outside the left/right, headline-driven box of daily editorial cartooning. A contemporary family comic strip, it chronicles the humorous challenges that Ames, Maggie, Twig and Teddy encounter when trying to live "green" and with environmental purpose.

The problem is, the “experts” who come up with all the theories that affect classroom teachers, never spent enough time in the classroom!

And some people who left the classroom to become administrators probably should never have been given their certificates in the first place.

It’s often been my observation that a lot of administrators used to be phys-ed teachers, and moved to admin when their brains or bodies got tired of phys-ed. Or maybe they’re just the only teachers who don’t have reams of marking and lesson planning to do evenings and weekends, so they can upgrade the required courses on their spare time more readily.
