It's the End of Civilization as we know it. A mutagenic plague followed by a global war fought with disintegration weaponry has left much of the Earth a desert of fine powder and what remains of humanity fragmented into humans, animal-like mutants and bloodthirsty monstrosities with lots of teeth. The surface, still teeming with the mutagenic virus, has become the domain of the dreaded Topsiders; well-organized, technologically advanced, and heavily armed un-mutated humans sworn to exterminate mutations of any kind in order to clear the way for the eventual resurgence of a new, genetically clean humanity. Faced with annihilation, mutants and "impure" humans have retreated into the depths of the planet to form communities and hope to win, or at least survive, what may prove to be mankind's final war. Endtown is the continuing story of one of those communities.

Apparently fair trial isn’t a human value.

I’m thinking that it’ll be a (no pun intended) “kangaroo” trial where they’re guilty until proven innocent.

I’m guessing that the Society for the Preservation of Human Values, would find the eating of “Human” secretions and deposits as cannibalism. I wonder if they would have been members of the LeLeche League before the war?

There’s a Jackrabbit involved
Jacob is connected here
’Ere this mystery is solved
His big footprint will be clear
But it seems his paranoia
And his fear has counterparts
Allgood keeps you human for ya
Jacob hates your human parts
So far Allgood seems urbane
(Like a panda, not gorilla)
But content to cause some pain
And that trial will be a killer

And here we thought because he was a nice soft panda ,he would be compassionate. Now Val is angry, maybe she could group with Wally and start changing the unwritten rules. Being a waitress she would be in contact with a lot of people and could start commenting that “wouldn’t it be better to have pancakes instead of beans?” OOOOO I love that idea.

Oboy, the same kind of thuggish extreamism from the other side. None of this will end well. Unless they get distracted in having to deal with a more direct existential threat from the topsiders. Or could this be the beginning of the end of Endtown? These kind of fratricidal conflicts can turn into suicidal death dances.

Lucky no-one mutated into a bamboo shoot.

‘Taken care of’ can have a rather ominous meaning.

@Jenner
How would we know no one mutated into a bamboo shoot (or forest)? When an anthromorph speaks, we know. If bamboo speaks, who ever hears would think they’d had too much to drink! Even if they did accept it, anyone they told would think they’d gone ’round the bend

There’s an ominous phrase, “faith in the cause”.

Allgood: “Maybe you should have actually read the pamphlets we gave you when you joined our Society. ‘Mutants are evil and must die’, ‘Human inside’, ‘Eating mutant foodstuffs will make you go blind’ or ’You’re either with us, or you’re pushing up non-mutant daisies’.”
