Sisterhood of the bean, wonder how that’s going to work out.

I wouldn’t think the wine list would be such a big deal, how many wines can be made of beans? I suspect the scavengers found a few undisturbed wine cellars? Anyway Linda still has that perplexed look. Things are happening too fast for her. Holly is on the ball.

Don’t care much for Roxie’s look. And Valerie has a fist up against her boob.?? Wonder what is going to come. Voices are pleasant enough? Maybe I am anticipating Friday. The Sock it to them time….. Just kidding Aaron.

That strangely-placed “fist” … it might have been worse
It’s merely her holding the strap on her purse
And her partner with the rather shorter physique
Has a bit of concern in the half-smiling beak

But big-cat-girl’s looking mean in Panel 3
Then breaks into smile, a change quite nice to see
The competent Holly stays charming and sweet
While Linda still looks more “beat up” than upbeat

Valerie is holding onto her purse strap, so that’s why her hand is up towards her shoulder :) Not sure what type of bird Roxie is…perhaps a finch? The expression on Linda’s face is interesting..scared, but with a glimmer of hope. Anyway, she doesn’t look as determined to toss in the towel as she did when Holly dragged her out of the rooming house.

    “It’s now or never
    Come, hold me tight
    Kiss me, my darling…
    Bean wine tonight.”

Jenner, that’s probably one of the songs Elvis could never get through without breaking himself up at least once.

Oh, and while Bean Wine would never work for the taste, if Yeast survived the apocalypse (and yeasts are tough-as-Cockroaches) they could always do the Mash – Ferment – Distill cycle, and make something on the continuum between Bean Vodka & Bean Moonshine.

Dump it in a charred oak barrel to age, and you might get something drinkable. Or not.

With all the beans being consumed in Endtown, one rather wonders at the gaseous effect they would have on such a massive scale.

For some reason a line from Ken Burns Civil War series comes to mind. The people in Vicksburg in 1863 were reduced to eating a “ghastly bread made of corn and peas.”

Plenty of corn on Yuletide TV…..

Fermented bean curd is eaten somewhere on this planet, can’t tell where, better just follow my nose….

Roxie doesn’t have her fist up against her boob. She’s holding her purse strap. The last time we saw Roxie and Valerie was when Wally dropped off Holly at work for the first time.
