I’ve been advocating for GT to dump Roland from the strip. To me, the character is too clueless to be funny; he’s just annoying. Maybe the time is about to arrive?

when he was in Vietnam during the war, he was at the Saigon bureau and was asked what he covered. his reply? Sports. the character has been clueless from the beginning, so it seems pointless to complain about it now.
