"Garry Trudeau is the premier American social and political satirist of his time." -Newsweek Doonesbury has managed to be articulate, abrasive, political, compassionate, misunderstood, misprinted, and outrageous - but one thing it's never been is complacent. Garry Trudeau's creation has chronicled American history and culture in a parallel universe. And through it all, Doonesbury has always been honest, entertaining, and thought-provoking.

In the days of film, this would have been a revolting development…but then again it still is…

Considering the nature of the news it seems appropriate that it is delivered by someone just as disgusting.

What? The Mainstream Media are this shallow? I’m shocked–SHOCKED!

I know he is doing this as a joke but it is similar to when movies first became “talkies”. Several famous stars couldn’t make the transition because of squeeky voices. Carmen Diaz, one of my favorites will have a problem if they start shooting movies high def. Beutiful talented woman but not really clear skin. I am sure directors will consider this before casting her and others.

I love Doonesbury!
But, something needs to be done about the automatic hypenation feature on the dialogue lettering software.
The word “tiny” is too tiny to be hyphenated.

Has anyone noticed the Simpsons lately? Outstanding definition.

While Roland is a pretty unsypathetic character, I have to empathise, as I was recently diagnosed with rosacea, and am in the middle of a break out right now. Certainly wouldn’t want to see that in high def. Hell, I didn’t even let my wife take my picture this weekend on a disposable film camera.

For those not aware: Roland works for Fox News, so the whole “model” atmosphere shouldn’t be a surprise.

@Margueritem! How perfectly ghastly! Look what they’ve done to your avatar. It’s sabotage!
