Artist Joe Staton and writer Mike Curtis co-author "Dick Tracy," the classic comic strip distributed by Tribune Media Services.
Created by Chester Gould in 1931, "Dick Tracy" is one of America's most-enduring pop-cultural icons, noteworthy for its steadfast, chisel-jawed hero and the gruesome gallery of villains he and his fearless team of Crimestoppers must outwit to put behind bars.
When longtime "Dick Tracy" artist and writer Dick Locher retired from the strip after 32 years of meritorious service, fans Staton and Curtis jumped at the chance to don the yellow fedora and trench coat. Staton has been drawing comic books for many years and has more than 1,000 credits under his belt. Curtis, who has been writing comics since 1986, is the only former law-enforcement officer to work on "Dick Tracy." Both creators are excited about the new--and dangerous--adventures they have in store for Dick Tracy and his Crimestoppers.

I’m sure Honeymoon will never rest until she finds out.

Poor Honeymoon, and the rest of the family.

Morning, coldsooner, margueritem and Vista Bill!
Whatever the true identity of the new “Moon Maid,” Honeymoon is going to be hurt.

This is getting really hawkward, IMHO. I can just imagine the grief and confusion in poo Honey’s mind, and Junior and Sparkle. If it was the Real Moon Maid, wouldn’t she reveal herself to her family, first?
Ashmael said, 9 months ago
And don’t get me started on how she was revived after an explosion killed her. Suspension of disbelief cannot stretch indefinitely.

I really like the artwork today. Sparkle looks very pretty in the 2nd panel.
Regarding the masked vigilante, she may be the sexiest thing this comic strip has seen in 35 years, but I’m pretty much ruling out the original MM. R.I.P. Mysta Tracy. Long live whoever you are.

Good morning. I fear that you might be right. :-(

Early morning to all.
This “Moon Maid” vigilante is stirring up some deep feelings here.Expect more fire works.

Touching, how Honeymoon is hanging on every word she overhears about her mother. But I must agree with Junior and commenters such as 60sFan and others who are convinced that the original Moon Maid is truly dead. The masked vigilante must be someone else with an interest in looking like Moon Maid….

couple weeks ago, the strip took a short detour to show us Junior at Mysta’s grave. so if there’s deception going on, the family is not in on it.

Hmmm…..speculation: other sci-fi (Star Trek) stories have come up with regeneration concepts for people that were surely dead (Spock). I hope this story isn’t heading that way…
