Morning, coldsooner, margueritem and Vista Bill!Whatever the true identity of the new “Moon Maid,” Honeymoon is going to be hurt.

This is getting really hawkward, IMHO. I can just imagine the grief and confusion in poo Honey’s mind,and Junior and Sparkle. If it was the Real Moon Maid, wouldn’t she reveal herself to her family, first?

And don’t get me started on how she was revived after an explosion killed her. Suspension of disbelief cannot stretch indefinitely.

I really like the artwork today. Sparkle looks very pretty in the 2nd panel.Regarding the masked vigilante, she may be the sexiest thing this comic strip has seen in 35 years, but I’m pretty much ruling out the original MM. R.I.P. Mysta Tracy. Long live whoever you are.

Touching, how Honeymoon is hanging on every word she overhears about her mother. But I must agree with Junior and commenters such as 60sFan and others who are convinced that the original Moon Maid is truly dead. The masked vigilante must be someone else with an interest in looking like Moon Maid….

couple weeks ago, the strip took a short detour to show us Junior at Mysta’s grave. so if there’s deception going on, the family is not in on it.

Hmmm…..speculation: other sci-fi (Star Trek) stories have come up with regeneration concepts for people that were surely dead (Spock). I hope this story isn’t heading that way…

So Junior has known all this time about the sightings. I wonder if there’s been an investigation going on that we haven’t been seeing. I suppose it’s also possible that the mysterious woman has appeared in other cities, outside of Tracy’s jurisdiction.

well mike had said on the yahoo groupp yesterday that moon maid will be around for quite some time. he stated he is already writing for march, and that around the iddle of themonth (i think) the moonmaid story will be in full swing… so we have quite a few more months of this. i am surprised junior is so calm about the whole thing and hasnt had a “daddy/little girl talk” with honeymoon about the whole thing

All things are possible in the comics. Here’s hoping for much more than a lengthy tease. Great artwork with Junior in profile, the soft glow of the e-reader and the shadows cast outside the bedroom door.

Well we know that is Moon-maid’s style and those eyes. I glad that Honeymoon is listening to her dad’s conversation, you know that the kids have to trust the dad. This is a very interesting development to say the least.

Something about the aquarium, perhaps?With all of this excitement about “Moon Maid”, let’s not forget that Tracy has a dead body on his hands, and a “phishing” scam to unravel.Two story threads running along at the same time does make for some interesting reading!

Good morning/afternoon VB et al. I’ve been short on time to comment but haven’t missed a day of Our Hero.

It just keeps getting better layer by layer by layer…

Sorry. I see no hypocrisy here. Stale, slowly moving stories with poor artwork generate very different comments and opinions than do fast-paced, well drawn strips.

I give up – what is that in the foreground of panel 3? It looks like the rails on a hospital bed or crib, but Honeymoon is too old for that sort of bed. Besides, if she is outside the door of Junior and Sparkle’s room, she must be in a hall or common area of the house. Anyway, another Gould tradition – a house with quite modern appointments for a Tracy family!

As we’ve seen in the first BB Eyes arc, unless you recover the body, it’s anyone’s guess. Mysta’s death was unfortunate, given that Tracy was the target of that explosion (the bomb was set by “Little” LIttel, with the hopes of collecting on a one-million contract set by Big Boy on his deathbed). And, unlike BB Eyes and Mumbles, there was a body. It was laid to rest; that much was seen. If the current vigilante is Moon Maid, why hide the face, when the tell-tale signs (antennae, the eyes, the curvy body) can readily be seen? Something is up, that much is sure, and I can’t wait to see where this subplot takes us.

I’m sure Joe’s background with “space” and science fiction while doing the E-Man comics will help them come up with an explanation of why this is the original Moon Maid, or as I have said another Moon female ignoring the Moon Governors wishes of no futher contact with earth.

And how Tracy would react to a vigilante in a costume. The people in that story will not have superpowers. That storyline starts in November after a very grim story for Halloween”

well there ya go from the mouth of “the man” himself… the “moon maid” story is NOT part of the super hero story so you can all put THAT idea to rest now!

so now THATS confirmed, we also know that “moon maid” is going to be around at LEAST until march so its obviously a long term storyline…ballpark area of 7+ months which is great! HOPEFULLY i wont have to hear seven plus months of “its mrs chin chillar” tho… but i think i will, lol

I looked at your avatar as closely as I could, and it sure does not look like Gould’s 60’s era artwork. It looks more like something he drew in the 30’s, especially the man standing in the background. More than that, I canot say.

Perhaps it is because the art is so small. Maybe I would revise my opinion if I could see it better?

Okay, I went to the link Tarry gave and read up on this story. So I think I can answer everything.1. Notta Chin Chillar and the other guy is a member of Piggy Butcher’s gang.2. Notta’s face is being wiped of shaving cream.3. This took place in a kitchen on Piggy’s farm. 4. Mrs. Chin Chillar is wearing a little outfit like the one Moon Maid used to wear (not much there!) and high heel boots (but not thigh high). 5. The guy behind her is holding both of her arms so it’s back there. Seems to have been in the original strip? He has a tight grip so she’s not going anywhere.6. Piggy!

Do I win the prize?I do see how people think the new Moon Maid is is Notta. I personally think it’s a moon relative who wants to be the new Moon Maid. But I have no evidence for this like Notta’s supporters do.

I obviously need to learn some back story. Where might I find some badly needed information?

So they recovered the body of Mysta and are able to do DNA testing now.
