I bet the 2R’s weren’t too pleased by either Clinton or Obama’s great speeches. Those had actual facts and ( heaven for fend ! ) real statistics, unlike the empty platitudes of the robots.

Crazy people can often see things others can’t, that’s why they’re crazy

I thank God everyday, that that invisible man in the chair, is Barack Obama and not some crazy right wing religious zealot….A vote for a conservative is a vote for trickle down dictatorship.

“What is most important for democracy is not that great fortunes should not exist, but that great fortunes should not remain in the same hands. In that way there are rich men, but they do not form a class.”“I know of no country, indeed, where the love of money has taken stronger hold on the affections of men, and where the profounder contempt is expressed for the theory of the permanent equality of property.”—Alexis deTocqueville

Obama and his ideas aren’t really invisible. The GOP just refuses to see them.

Ralph Ellison could say a thing or two about being invisible…in fact, he did.

The problem with a two-party system is you really can’t say “None of the Above.”…So, we return to an old favorite: …Vote for Charlie McCarthy! If We Must Have a Dummy, Let’s Have a Good One.…or, if we want a better liar, vote for this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNOvNrZ6S_E

I was pondering something obvious, after Obama’s speech. It was something he alluded to but bears thinking about. Granted, given the obstructionism he faced by the Republican class of 2010, the spinelessness of his own party, and the humongous problems domestic and foreign some inherited and some on his watch, I am amazed the man accomplished anything.More importantly, no matter which party gets into office, we are facing a long, slow, painful recovery and possibly more catastrophic events we cannot even imagine at this point. NO SINGLE INDIVIDUAL , no hero on a white horse, can ride in to save us. The President is only a figurehead. To blame him or credit him with all the goods and evils of this world is ludicrous.Obama said something I totally agree with. If we are going to get out of this mess we are in, then WE ALL have to start working TOGETHER not AGAINST each other ! That requires dialogue and compromise. Two virtues that are sorely lacking in today’s political climate.
