Hm… given how some States (like mine) are reacting to this, I can see why this cartoon features Uncle Sam..…and no, I did not vote for Scott, so don’t blame me for his fiascoes!

Isn’t Scott the guy whose company was convicted of Medicare fraud?

And yet the people of Florida elected him.

Guess they will be voting for the guy with the Swiss bank account (and Cayman Islands).

Your ‘explanation’ might be a valid claim against the Affordable Care Act if it didn’t read exactly like a hate-and-epithet-filled screed. Obviously you care nothing about proving your point, just expressing your emotions as maliciously as possible.

The benefits are huge, and Harley, if you don’t know what’s in the bill, you must be getting your news from Fox. I’ve known what’s in it for two entire years, and it’s really an improvement over the rigged market we’ve got now. Yes, I’m not happy with it, but that’s mostly because the GOP negotiated out the public option and a whole lot of good cost control stuff before they voted against it. Gotta dance with the ones what brung you, I guess.

Laughed when I saw the CNN interview with Mitt Romney. The reporter asked why Romney’s plan is Mass. was different than the “Tax” of Obama. He replied, its not a tax, its a penalty so its ok.

So what’s the difference to the people? (No difference!)

Here’s a blog with a fairly non-partisan look at what is wrong with The Affordable Health Care Act.

Glad I am an unaffiliated voter, neither Democrat or Republican.

Notes from a foreigner:So, Uncle Sam is looking past the border to see how the rest of the world has been managing for decades?Because that is where Universal Health Care has been successfully operating and may just work in the Good Ol’ USA, whether or not it is ready for the 20th Century. Of course, by Universal, I just mean entire Planet Earth minus USA. And 20th Century is last century, not a typo.

The health bill is a start. Everyone believes that all people are covered today. They are covered by everyone else, either through taxes or increased premiums from everyone who has health insurance. Maybe this will be a little fairer to everyone?

I think hiring more IRS agents is a great idea. Too many people have been able to get away with cheating on their taxes because there haven’t been enough agents to go after them all. Don’t you agree that laws should be enforced and people should pay their debts?

Quit beating a dead horse Harlekinns. The guy in charge of the IRS already debunked that myth.

Making excuses for people who purposefully evade legal taxes is immoral. Yes, the tax code is overly complex, but there are plenty of people who don’t pay what they owe, taking advantage of the shortage of agents.

Every project requires a few “red line” corrections during construction. We’re getting progress, and can improve it, but keep Boehner, Cantor, and the “burn it down boys” out of the room. (Ohio could be a BIG help with that come November.)

It’s “affordable care” folks, NOT “free”!

Universal health care is coming…and the sooner the better. But the GOP will continue to lie and misinform so as to stall it until the economy and Americans finally demand it.

@dragon- we have an obligation as citizens of humanity to provide for those who are not as fortunate due to the base inequalities if society. So yes, I have that right, just as you do to reach into my pockets. We’re all equal under the law.
