Had the worst night mare of my life last night.Dreamed that the clock had run out for me and it was time to pay for my sins.Wound up in a place run by a guy with horns,a pitch fork and a pointy tail.He showed me to a solitary cell and, ignoring my pleas for leniency, locked the door and through the loudspeaker installed in my cell, piped in Rush rants interspersed with Romney campaign ads, at the the decibel level of a jackhammer.Woke up, thankful it was just a dream, and vowed to mend my ways.

@LinguistThanks for that from Alfred Lord Tennyson. Was reminded of Dickens " Christmas Carol". Scrooge to the Ghost of Christmas Future-Mens’ courses foreshadow certain ends, to which, if persevered in, they must surely lead. But if the courses be departed from, the ends will change. Say it is thus with what you show me!". Glad there’s still time for me to repent.

Interesting note-Christmas Carol was first printed in 1843. Guess (politicians , especially) and some of the rest of us are slow learners.Charlie: “Good grief”.

A dog’s life can be really exciting if the human race didn’t decide what they can and can’t do. It’s no doubt, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with when we go to hell in a handbasket. . . . “Maybee a Dingo got yer’ baybee!”

In case there’s not time enough for me to repent, went to Denny’s this morning and ordered a Grand Slam with 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, a large bowl of grits, and hash browns. If the jig be up tonight for me, that Grand Slam is going with me to the slammer. The chili w/ taco sauce and tofu will just have to wait.

Forgot to mention that in Part B of my nightmare, the poor soul in the solitary cell next to mine was subjected to similar indignities as was myself, but with a twist. In his cell, a TV was installed with channel selector and volume controls rendered inoperable, and tuned to Fox News, at the same decibel level as the loudspeaker in my cell.Loudspeaker and TV were encased in the wall, covered by a thick steel mesh screen to prevent tampering. Needless to say, we were both in the section reserved for serious offenders.

The magnify button should be at the top of the strips. Wiley is a good example of an artist who frequently uses vertical strips, which sometimes rely on a sight gag in the last panel. We need to be able to magnify without spoiling the gag.
