I see it’s raining heavily but I don’t see the “cats and dogs”.

Yep, that looks like London. I’m setting up a stall selling bottles of genuine jubilee rain water.

H.M. Queen Elizabeth to you. To disrespect a head of state is to disrespect the country.

What was Rodney thinking? That London will be like Sunny California?

I think Charles doesn’t really want it. when his mother abdicates or dies, he can go directly to King’s pa.

@Watmiwori To say that Edward VIII had to abdicate because he wished to marry a divorcee is erroneous. The Church of England does not allow a divorcee to remarry if their previous spouse is STILL ALIVE. Once Diana passed away, Charles was free to remarry. Camilla was free to marry him, despite her former spouse being still living, due to special dispensation.

The CofE at the time recognized Wallis Simpson to be still married to her first husband. The CofE has since become much more liberal regarding the rules of divorce, and the fact is that the rules of succession have never actually required that the ruling monarch not marry a divorcee. Edward VIII’s problem was that Wallis Simpson was objected to on moral, religious, legal, and nationalistic fronts.

It’s also in error to state that Henry VIII, founder of the CofE, was divorced. He had his first marriage annulled upon breaking away from Rome. He had his second wife beheaded. This third died from complications related to childbirth. The fourth marriage was never consumated and thus annulled. The fifth wife was beheaded, and the sixth wife outlived him.

If that “red shirt” is so bright, why didn’t he say anything during Rodney’s briefing?
