Call it “Micro Emacs” (an early version of C)

Emacs is an editor, not a programming language, and was never a version of C. The predecessor of C was BCPL.

I liked C. It allowed you to do anything you wanted. Want to write all zeros or all ones over the disk, go ahead.

    Safety nets are for wimps.

Better still write a program by putting zeros and ones in specific memory locations. Code that writes code. Now that’s geeky.

Maybe he should try BASIC or COBOL, but I get the feeling Peter would still mock him.
