Brilliant! Actually- Calvin’s destiny, as far as the comics go, has been ‘Boy of Destiny’… or something like that.

A human IS a primate. So, Susie isn’t even making a technical error here.

I think with Calvin’s morals & ethics, his destiny is to be a permanent resident of cell block #9.

I can see it now. With any luck, ten years from now Calvin will be asking Susie to the Senior Prom.

That is if she hasn’t killed him yet.

I’ve seen some comics and fanfics where he and sometimes they’ve grown up. I even liked the Hobbes & Bacon (IIRC), though if Calvin’s wife (who seems to enjoy his insanity in a supper scene where she says a noodle is trying to eat her brain) is Susie, I don’t recall it saying (looked like it could’ve been, I think).

“Oh, yearh. If Watterson had let those two grow up, their’s would be a match made in heaven.” That’s terrifying. Imagine a kid with Calvin’s inclinations and Susy’s intelligence.

But sometimes a “match” made in heaven can start the “fires in hell”…..

Then he might call himself Boy of Dentistry!

It turns out that Calvin’s destiny was to be in the back window of a Ford pick-up and urinating on a Chevrolet logo. On time I was behind a bus, a Prevost. Calvin was whizzing on an MCI logo. I was driving a Gillig. Only a bus driver would find that funny.
